Mission 2: Challenges of Old Gods

Objective

It seems you were destined to crash land on this forsaken planet. You were right from the beginning: it was a trap! And you cannot communicate with the Enterprise at all…

It seems ancient aliens declared themselves gods and want to test others to see if they are worthy enough for the universe. They lure people here put them through different challenges to test them, so they can prove their theory. If they pass their test, it means they are worthy and are teleported out of here. Only if…

Now, this is the best moment to test your experimental robot and solve this challenges! It should not be so difficult to solve these challenges, right?

Build a robot and solve the challenges in your way to the teleportation pad.

Rules

  1. All general rules apply on this stage.
  2. You need to build and program your own robot.
  3. You are not allowed to change the scale of the robot. The robot must have the dimensions the VRT gives when importing. You are not allowed to change these dimensions.
  4. Make sure the projection of the robot is completely inside the start (red) area.
  5. There is no restriction for the height of the robot, though.
  6. You will need to start your recording showing us the robot fits the starting area before running the simulation, to validate your submission.
  7. The robot must be autonomous, of course.
  8. You should figure out how to solve the puzzles and find out if there are any other surprises.
  9. Take care on how you write the time in the submission form. Time will be provided in seconds, with decimal! If this is not correctly inputed or transformed from VRT scoreboard, the submission will be invalidated.

Scoring

  1. Upon submitting, you must provide the video link, along with the final score. The score recorded on the scoreboard must be the same with the one you insert manually upon submitting. Differences will automatically invalidate your submission.
  2. Two puzzles will give 10 points each while one will give 15 points.
  3. You might be lucky and score some bonus points if you find any secrets 🙂 .
  4. Time counts for this mission. The standings will be based on the next criteria:
    1. Best scores first;
    2. In case of ties, best time will be taken in consideration.
  5. Bonus points will be awarded as such:
    1. 5 points to the 1st classified;
    2. 4 points to the 2nd classified;
    3. 3 points to the 3rd classified;
    4. 2 points to the 4th classified;
    5. 1 point to the 5th classified.
  6. Every participant who completely and correctly finishes the mission will get 35 points, at which bonus points might apply.
