S1: Mission 2 - International Robotics Championship

S1: Mission 2

Mission 2: Emergency Landing

Objective

It was a long shot from the beginning, but the you managed to save Aldea! The only problem is that the last asteroid shot consumed all the energy inside your fuel cells. Now, the ship is adrift…

That is not the only problem. The Aldeans did not shut down their gravity enhancer and now the ship is dragged inside the atmosphere. We calculated where we will land.

There are good news and bad news. The good news is that you will land in a remote part of the planet. The bad news is that there are some equipment in the way from an old factory. You need to send an away party and clear the path before the ship will get there, so the crew can land it safely.

Build a robot and clear the path before the Enterprise lands.

Good luck!

Rules

  1. All general rules apply on this stage.
  2. Make sure the projection of the robot is completely inside the start (red) area.
  3. You are not allowed to change the scale of the robot. This means, at the start of the simulation, your robot should have the same object dimensions as the ones it had just after the import process has finished.
  4. There is no restriction for the height of the robot, though.
  5. You will need to start your recording showing us the robot fits the starting area before running the simulation, to validate your submission.

Scoring

  1. Upon submitting, you must provide the video link, along with the final score. The score recorded on the scoreboard must be the same with the one you insert manually upon submitting. Differences will automatically invalidate your submission.
  2. Each collapsed wall will give you 10 points. There are 3 walls which need to be collapsed, so the maximum score is 30 points.
  3. Every participant who completely finishes the mission will get 30 points, regardless the time recorded. There are no bonus points for this task.
