GF: Mission 1 - International Robotics Championship

GF: Mission 1

Mission 1: Chasing the Enemy

The Borg ship is headed towards Earth, at great speeds. You are in pursuit, but there is a lot of distance between you two. Also, the Borg ship has better engines then you, so it moves faster.

Using warp replicating technology, you need to create some obstacles which will slow down the Borg ship an place them in the path of it. This is a building mission, no programming is needed.

Rules

  1. You need to build obstacles and import them inside VRT.
  2. You are not allowed to change the scale of any of the obstacle. The obstacle must have the dimensions the VRT gives when importing. You are not allowed to change these dimensions.
  3. There is no restriction for the obstacle’s dimensions height or length, but the robot must have only one EV3 brick.
  4. You may use any Lego components but you are not allowed to change any of the component materials. Everything should be as imported and given in the mission.
  5. Judges may ask for your program if they feel there is manual control.
  6. You can manually place the obstacles wherever you want on the map.
  7. There are no secrets for this mission.
  8. Remember that the scoreboard must be visible at all time.
  9. There is no time submission for this mission.

Scoring

  1. Upon submitting, you must provide the video link, along with the final score. The score recorded on the scoreboard must be the same with the one you insert manually upon submitting. Differences will automatically invalidate your submission.

  3. Every participant who completely and correctly finishes the mission will get 50 points, regardless the time recorded.
  4. Time does not count for this mission.
