]]>You have 2 more days before the to submit your solutions.
Last 16th of December 2020 08:00 (UTC), stage 3 was opened. In this stage you have to solve one mission alone. You need to repair the warp engines by teleporting the repairbot to move the switches on the command console.
The first task is to stabilize the power by setting the power slider of the main auxiliary power system to “0” zero. From there you have to follow further information on the computer screen on how to manually override the other instructions. Be careful and think well, because the next step will depend on the decisions you will be making, a good choice will give you a boost.
IRC 2020-2021 competition is intended to make robotics and programming learning fun and challenging. We make sure that there is always something new to know. Only your imagination is the limitation. ]]>ALL SET!
The International Robotics Championship is now all set and ready to aboard coaches and students from all over the world, with five stages of competition borne out of a partnership of four countries – Bahrain, Philippines, Romania, and Russia.
One of the main goals of the competition is to provide a platform for students who aspires to learn, develop, and exercise their skills in designing, programming, and executing robots to solve thought-provoking tasks, all rooted and braced by teamwork, camaraderie, and exchanging ideas with their fellow students.
WHY SPACE FRONTIER?
This year’s theme for the International Robotics Championship is SPACE: THE FINAL FRONTIER. Because of the current pandemic situation, the organizers opted to give the participants other-worldly feels by bringing the competition in another dimension setting.
The theme was pegged by one of the founders of the competition, who is an avid fan of the Star Trek film – an American media franchise originating from the 1960s science fiction television series Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry.
WHO’S BEHIND THE PROJECT?
The championship is a collaborative concept borne out of the founding members from Bahrain, Philippines, Romania, and Russia. All the ideas were communicated and interpreted virtually, and the organizers come to meet in a regular schedule to throw in their amazing ideas, and discuss the objectives of each stages of the competition.
Nonetheless, the organizers are still eyeing to have physical competitions, once the pandemic is over. They believe that the experience would be more memorable, with students actually interacting with each other and exchanging cultures.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR THE PARTICIPANTS?
While winning is one of the main encouragement in joining the competition, here WINNING is only a BONUS—especially for the students and coaches who diligently works and give effort in conceptualizing and developing their robot solutions.
As much as everyone is eyeing for the MAIN PRIZE, the fun experience in solving the tasks and missions in each of the stages, the learnings in solving mind-boggling challenges and being in the very first virtual space adventure is the best take away.
IRC IN THE COMING YEARS
Even though the competition was motivated and conceptualized in the midst of the pandemic, the organizers made it a point that this is just the beginning. The team behind the International Robotics Championship opts to deliver the competition all over the world ANNUALLY- aiming to bring the fun, and the excitement of learning Robotics, and having a friendly competition between coaches and students.
The organizers are also encouraging more students to recognize the importance of learning robotics and seize all the opportunities available for further development. After all, friendship, creativity, sportsmanship, and logical thinking are what inspired the founders on why they want to keep the competition coming.
FRIENDSHIP AND CHALLENGE with an OBJECTIVE—this is what the International Robotics Championship is ALL ABOUT. For those who are interested to join the competition, kindly visit https://robochamp.org/ to register. No worries, IT’S FREE! See you in SPACE!
